PERTH CENTRE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY / EXHIBITION PROPOSAL FORM

The Perth Centre for Photography welcomes all photomedia based art including still photography, non narrative video art, and all other forms of new photography and cross - photomedia.

PCP invites proposals from local, national and international individuals, groups, independent curators, galleries, institutions and organisations. 

An independent panel of artists and photographic / art industry professionals will select successful proposals based on artistic merit and strength of the application and based upon PCP's selection criteria.

The criteria considers new or reimagined ideas presented in critically engaging ways, work that provokes new thinking about the world or photography, cohesivity, visually and thematically and quality. Technique and presentation are important. Work that pushes the medium of photography are also considered.

VISUAL DOCUMENTATION

Please upload a minimum of seven high quality images related to your project. 

It is important to provide good quality images. The artistic panel will base their assessment of your proposal largely on the images you present.

Images should reflect the direction of your work for the proposed exhibition and where possible the actual work for inclusion.

EXHIBITION GUIDELINES
 
Exhibition fee 
PCP's offers a subsidised exhibition fee of $1200 which includes exhibition promotion to 10000+ national and international subscribers, opening launch, installation & deinstallation support, administrative support, and gallery invigilation.
 
Exhibition timing 
Installation is completed PCP 5 days prior to the opening event.
Opening events are carried out on Thursday evenings. The exhibition continues for four weeks closing on a Saturday. Deinstallation is carried out on the following Monday.
 
Sales and Commission 30% 
Artwork sold from an exhibition at PCP will attract a 30% commission for the gallery.
 
Security booking fee 
Successful applicants will be asked to pay a security booking fee of $400, which will be deducted from the total exhibition fee.
