Help a Neighbor In Need This Christmas

Each year we receive more than 1,000 requests for help during the holiday season from parents who can't afford to buy their kids presents for Christmas. This year, with so many people being out of work as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, those requests have skyrocketed.
With more families asking to get help, we are in need of more families offering to give help. We have several ways that you can offer to help and make sure a child wakes up Christmas morning with toys under the tree. Thank you, and Merry Christmas.

Christmas Together is our family sponsorship program. Through this program, we match generous sponsors with families, according to the sponsor’s family size preference. Sponsors then receive the family’s Christmas wish list and purchase gifts for the family. Sponsors have the option of delivering gifts directly to the family or dropping the gifts at St. Vincent de Paul for the family to pick up. You can expect to spend around $100 for each person in the family.

Angel Toy is our toy shop program. Traditionally, we set up a “toy shop” of donated toys in our Outreach Center and selected families get to come through and pick out presents for each of their kids. This year, due to COVID limitations on people in our building, volunteers will have a wish list for each family and pick out 2-3 gifts for each child. You can support Angel Toy by collecting new, unwrapped toys ($15-$20 each) for us to add to the toy shop.
Thanks for your interest in supporting St. Vincent de Paul! We will contact you by the end of October to provide additional details and next steps.

Additional ways you can help

In addition to our Christmas programs, we need help with other events during the holidays. Please let us know if you are interested in helping out with one of these other areas:
