Spring Leadership Corps - Program Overview

The Leadership Corps (LC) at Youth Enrichment Services (YES) is a free program offering teens in 9th-12th grades the opportunity to develop their leadership potential as they participate in outdoor experiential learning with peers. The spring Leadership Corps program will encourage youth to develop an active lifestyle, appreciation for the outdoors, and informed opinions on health and sustainability-related topics. 

Leadership Corps teens receive:

-Opportunities to engage with peers about topics such as health equity and environmental justice

-Fun outdoor adventures 

 

Program Details 

Eligibility: 14+ year olds, currently enrolled in 9th-12th grade (15 available spots)

Priority Eligibility: Low-income Boston residents (especially those living in Mattapan, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, and Dorchester); Past Leadership Corps participants

Orientation: Week of April 22nd

Program Dates: Tuesdays 4-7:00PM between April 30th - June 4th (Once a week for 6 weeks)

The following application requires applicants to provide youth demographic information, health history, emergency contact, and household information including proof of income. We require this information because much of our funding is grant-based and designated for participants from a specific financial background.
