Late Term Abortion In Canada Petition

On February 2nd, 2023, it was reported that a 38-week abortion was performed at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Montreal, Canada.

At this point of pregnancy, a child is:

- Fully developed with all organs functioning and can feel pain

- Can survive outside the mother's body, easily

- Is highly adoptable due to the long adoption wait lists in Canada for newborns

Canada remains the only western country where this type of abortion is legal nationwide because there are no federal laws on abortion in Canada.

For this reason, we the undersigned call upon elected officials at the federal and provincial levels to take action and ensure this procedure is banned in Canada.
