The New Brighton Area Recreation Commission (NBARC) has regretfully canceled the Memorial Day Triathlon scheduled for May 26. The continued construction of Sunflower Road and associated detours onto roads used for the Triathlon adds excessive vehicular traffic to the route and jeopardizes the safety of the participants.
Plans for the 2019 Memorial Day Triathlon are already being prepared and include sanctioning of the event. The NBARC invites all registered participates to return in 2019.
