CERTIFICATION CRITERIA: This course is intended to result in your certification as an Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner must possess the skills and abilities necessary to safely and competently convey the teachings of ayurveda to their clients or students. The majority of IUYA students complete this program and become certified. However, we reserve the right to withhold certification from any student who fails to develop the necessary skills. Every attempt will be made to provide input throughout the IUYA program with regard to learning deficits that could impede certification. Faculty and staff will use the following criteria to establish student eligibility for certification. Attendance: We require 100% attendance. If you miss some of the webinars, we will provide recorded webinars drop box links. Students are also responsible for any course material missed. Attendance requires punctuality in arriving at each class session and returning from breaks. Chronic tardiness is not acceptable and disrespectful to the teacher and your fellow students. Exams:Throughout this course, students will be required to complete both practical and written exams, which are designed to ascertain where more study might be needed or additional support required. Home study: Students are required to complete extensive at-home study in order to fully master the material delivered in the teaching sessions. All students must satisfactorily complete and submit all assignments to receive certification. Personal hygiene: Classroom attire should be modest, neat and clean. You are asked to practice good personal hygiene in keeping with a professional appearance. Code of Ethics: It is essential that every Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner of IUYA has a high level of personal integrity and maintains clear boundaries when serving students or clients. As professionals, we must remain ever aware that clients hold us in a position of power. Some may idealize us, projecting more wisdom or attainment upon us than truly exists. As a result, it is incumbent upon us to refrain from exploiting clients for personal gain or gratification.In addition to cultivating an awareness of the power dynamic, we expect IUYA students and graduates to uphold an environment within which inner focus can be cultivated. In practical terms, we ask our graduates to refrain from sexual and/or romantic involvement with clients. Our intention is not to be disciplinary or repressive, but to foster safety for the practice of traditional ayurveda. Because we do recognize that attractions develop and could evolve into a healthy, conscious relationship, we ask our graduates to seek direction and guidance from our Ethics Development Team in these matters. During the training Program: All students are required to adhere to the Code of Ethics. This is designed to help create safety while maintaining a professional atmosphere. Failure to adhere to the Code of Ethics could result in your being asked to leave the training program. After Certification: IUYA graduates are expected to conduct their professional practice in full compliance with the Code of Ethics. Any complaint about unethical behavior will result in a thorough investigation. Graduates who are found to have violated the Code of Ethics may have their certificates revoked.

Agreement of Understanding of Enrollment as Ayurvedic Practitioner Certification: ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION AND ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTS: *

I certify that the information I have provided to International University of Yoga and Ayurveda (IUYA) is true, correct and complete. I am not providing false, misleading or deceptive information, and I understand that if I am providing false, misleading or deceptive information, International University of Yoga and Ayurveda will pursue legal action. I understand that I may be asked to provide additional documentation and that International University of Yoga and Ayurveda reserves the right to verify any and all information that I provide. If the documentation required for the International University of Yoga and Ayurveda school / institute accreditation status for which I am applying is not received within 15 days from the date of this application, I understand that no refund will be issued in the event of the cancellation or denial of my application. I agree that I will notify International University of Yoga and Ayurveda in writing of any civil or criminal complaint made against school / institute. I agree to hold International University of Yoga and Ayurveda and all its agents, officers, advisers, directors, and employees harmless and indemnify them for any misrepresentation of my school / institute documents and for all claims, loss, judgment or expense.
