Biopolis is a research camp that teaches students fundamental biotechnology concepts, procedures, and techniques. Kaitlyn Wang and Julia Picker, two rising seniors at Canyon Crest Academy, are leading the program, with assistance from other science-minded CCA students. Kaitlyn and Julia have both received awards for the work they have done in professional biomedical laboratories and believe a strong foundation in understanding the nature of biotechnology research is essential for any STEM field. Biopolis' curriculum, developed and taught by accomplished CCA students, offers participants an opportunity to gain the experience and knowledge necessary that will support them in future research pursuits. *Each camp will be capped at 20 students.* Additional curriculum materials and take-home activities will be provided in addition to a camp t-shirt.
