ALL INFORMATION KEPT CONFIDENTIAL

The National Young People’s Department (NYPD) is pleased to announce that several college scholarships ranging from $200 to $1,000 will be offered for each school year. Applications will be evaluated based on previous academic/scholastic achievements, church involvement, character, and community service. Scholarship recipients must have the approval of their Local Young People’s President. Each Scholarship recipient may receive up to two scholarships within a four-year period. Scholarships are not limited to post secondary studies only, but also are available to trade schools, culinary studies, beauty schools, etc.

Applications are available from the National Young People’s Office. Also, check with your Local Young People’s Department (LYPD).

Requirements/Qualifications

Please read this page before completing the application.

Applicant MUST complete EACH of the following:

1. Be a good-standing member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith whose headquarters is located at 22nd and Bainbridge Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and whose bishop is Bishop Omega Shelton.

2. Be accepted or matriculated full time at a 2- or 4-year college or university in the U.S.

3. Be an active member of his/her LYPD.

4. Complete the three-page application attached (including the required essay).
