The incredible journey. Students will learn how water travels to homes, schools, and businesses.

Do you know your local watershed? Students will use maps to identify their local watersheds and will then “create” their own watershed.

Don’t treat your toilet like a trash can. Students will be introduced to the importance of keeping trash out of the wastewater stream (toilets and sinks).

A hurricane is coming! Students will learn how the Utilities Department responds during/after a hurricane.

The chemistry of wastewater treatment. Students will learn about how different physical and chemical properties (i.e. density and the nitrogen cycle) are used by Engineers to treat wastewater effectively.

Careers in Utilities. Students will be introduced to the many career paths working with water. STEM-related career paths will be emphasized.
