The Junior League of Greenwich is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We are committed to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations and communities.
The Junior League of Greenwich Community Service Award is granted to a young woman in grade 9-12, who either lives in Greenwich or attends school in Greenwich, and who has clearly demonstrated initiative, leadership and a sustained commitment to community service.
The Community Service Award Winner(s) will be recognized and presented with a monetary award of $2,000 at the Junior League of Greenwich Annual Dinner in late Spring.
ELIGIBILITY
Any local female high school student, grade 9-12, who lives in or attends school in Greenwich.
CRITERIA
The recipient must be someone whose volunteer activities demonstrate initiative, leadership, and a sustained commitment to community service.
REQUIREMENTS
- Submission of application
- Two written recommendations from non-family members knowledgeable of the student’s volunteer activities
NOTE: Applications and recommendations must be submitted online on or before Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
