Kathy is a licensed psychologist and expert DIRFloortime practitioner and training leader. She is the Director of Clinical Training for the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning, is a leading psychologist at Floortime Atlanta, and is on the teaching faculty of Fielding Graduate University. Her private practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of infants and children and other family members. She specializes in developmental challenges, attachment, trauma, learning challenges, and general coping struggles.
Dr. Platzman received her doctorate in 1983 from the University of Chicago, Committee on Human Development. In 1992 she completed respecialization in Child and Family Psychotherapy from Georgia State University.
