"Celebrating Wildlife"

Summer 2020

Gallery: The Activity Center at Bohrer Park

Juror: George Smith (Photography) and John Duke (Artistic media)

Curator: Mary Weiss-Waldhorn

Our love and appreciation of animal wild life is endless and has inspired many works of art. We would like to see how you have favored animals in your two-dimensional works. We are interested in images of real animals, although your artistic vision of them is welcome. This will be a Call to Artists juried exhibit featuring 2-dimentional images of animal wild life in all media

"Birds of a Feather"

Fall 2020 - Winter 2021

Gallery: The Kentlands Mansion

Juror: Sheryl Massaro

Curator: Mary Weiss-Waldhorn

Birds inspire us in so many ways by their infinite variety and beauty, their habitats and the inspiration they have given to the arts, mythology, literature and poetry. How have birds become the muses for your artistic work? We would love to see.

"Abstract Art"

Winter/Spring 2021

Gallery: The Arts Barn

Juror: Linda Slattery Sherman

Curator: Mary Weiss-Waldhorn

Abstract art offers endless possibilities to 2-dimensional artists. Creating a good abstract image takes skillful use of media and a competent understanding of coherent composition and uses of color, line. texture and design. We are also interested in seeing small three-dimensional works of abstraction no larger than three ft by three ft. due to limited gallery space. Only abstract art will be shown in this exhibition.

"Big, Bold, and Beautiful #3"

Spring 2021

Gallery: The Activity Center at Bohrer Park

Curator: Mary Weiss-Wildhorn

The "Big, Bold, and Beautiful", by popular demand, will be returning for the third year at Bohrer Park. If you are an artist who works large, this is the exhibit for you. It will feature large works of art up to 6'x8' (no smaller than 24"- 36" inches) but less than 50 lbs. in weight. The Bohrer Park Activity Center with it spacious walls lends itself well to displaying larger pieces of art. Due to the size of each pieace of art, approximately 20 pieces of 2-dimensional work will be juried into this exhibition.
